Concern CEO awarded honorary degree

Tom Arnold received a Degree of Doctor of Laws yesterday from the National University of Ireland, the umbrella organisation for many of the country's great universities.

Speaking to the Fingal Independent after receiving the honour, Tom said he was humbled by the award.

I am very humbled by it. You can't win anything like this on your own - you achieve it with the help of other people. In a sense this honours the work of Concern, not me and I was glad to accept it on that basis.
