Recession, what recession?

This week, the UK government announced that it wouldn’t be making any cuts to its overseas aid budget.

Compare this to the situation in Ireland, where the aid budget has been cut by €222 million in less than a year.

How do you feel about that?

Good news from the UK. But why is the target for aid 0.7%? It's such a small amount really... when our rich western society is built on the back of the developing world supplying us with cheap goods and labour...
