Women of Concern: photo gallery
Last night, at the Chester Beatty Library in Dublin, we launched the Women of Concern group.
This is a group of Irish people who support Concern’s work with women in the world’s poorest countries. Here’s some photos from the event:

The guests included Miriam O’Callaghan, Darina Allen, Ivana Bacik, Nora Owen, Amy Huberman and Marian Keyes. They were joined by over a hundred women (and a few men).
Life in Zimbabwe
Miriam O’Callaghan introduced the first speaker, Concern’s Angela O’Neill de Guilio. Angela painted a powerful picture of life for a poor woman in Zimbabwe.
Lives turned around
We also heard from Carine Roenen, from Concern in Haiti (3634), via a live telephone link. Carine explained how the lives of extremely poor women and their families have been turned around with Concern’s support.

At the event, gifts were kindly provided by Clarins.
