Pakistan: RAPID fund

RAPID (Responding to Pakistan’s Internally Displaced) is a funding mechanism that was established in September 2009 under a cooperative agreement between Concern Worldwide and USAID’s Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance.

It was designed to respond quickly to the urgent needs of people affected by conflicts, crises and disasters in Pakistan.

No more funding available

Concern’s RAPID Fund has now allocated all existing funds available to sub-grantees and unfortunately has no more funding available at present. The RAPID Fund will therefore not be processing any new applications until further notice.

About RAPID fund

Since 2009, RAPID fund has provided lifesaving assistance to over two million people in conflict and flood-affected areas. The fund supports local, national and international non-profit organisations in providing humanitarian assistance to internally displaced people people and disaster-affected communities in the following sectors:
  1. Water, sanitation and hygiene 
  2. Shelter and settlement
  3. Agriculture and food security
  4. Health
  5. Logistics support and relief commodities
  6. Nutrition
  7. Economic recovery and market system 
  8. Protection
  9. Humanitarian co-ordination and information management
