Help us empower young women and girls worldwide
Women of Concern supports Concern’s work to tackle inequalities in 26 of the world’s poorest countries.
Gender inequality is the most common form of inequality worldwide, and it serves as a major obstacle in the fight against extreme poverty. In communities around the world, women and girls do not have access to resources and services that directly affect their daily lives.
Thank you for donating today. Your contribution will help Concern Worldwide to improve opportunities for women and girls to progress out of extreme poverty.
Donating online will automatically enter you into the raffle draw, giving you a chance to win one of a range of wonderful prizes donated by generous Irish businesses in support of our event’s gender equality focus.
Support women like Aloyiziya

Aloyiziya is a single mother of three, living in Rwanda. She has not had an easy life - she grew up as an orphan and became a mother while still a young adult. She tried to make ends meet by working in the fields, but always dreamed of being able to give her children a different kind of life.
“I would love to open a small business. I would be able to find food for my children without struggling. I could improve my standard of living, and be able to buy clothes for my children and myself. I could take care of my children. I could give them meals the whole day - at breakfast and lunchtime.”
Aloyiziya was delighted to be selected for Concern’s Green Graduation programme, which provides the trainings, tools and resources families need to begin earning sustainable income and “graduate” out of poverty.
Now, she farms rented land to sell vegetables in the market and to feed her children two well-balanced meals a day. With her earnings, she has been able to afford essentials like soap and clothing, and even healthcare when needed. With Aloyiziya’s sustainable source of income, she has also been able to afford to send her children back to school and pay for their books and supplies.
The programme not only improved her financial situation, but empowered Aloyiziya with social and mindset training, helping her build her confidence and mental resilience.
“I don’t fail to get porridge for my kids, I’m able to get food for my kids."
In the future, she dreams of owning a cow so she can provide milk for her children – a dream that is certainly within her reach.
Your donation will help drive Concern’s mission across 26 countries, where every programme is rooted in the principles of equality, respect and dignity.
Thank you so much for your support today.
