This October, Concern Worldwide is asking everyone to gather their friends, family, neighbours and colleagues to again share a meal and raise essential funds for the people of Gaza.

Whether you host a cosy dinner, an office lunch or a coffee morning – every euro raised will go directly to the Concern supported response in Gaza.

“While the intensity of violence has subsided, people in Gaza are having to cope with destroyed homes, infrastructure and livelihoods, a lack of access to water and sanitation, and restricted ability to buy or grow food,” said Concern’s Humanitarian adviser, Catriona Pender.

“Thanks to Cook for Gaza we were able to increase our support in Gaza. We hope that again this year people will respond with generosity and hold an event that will see tangible action for the people of Gaza while connecting with friends and family who share their compassion.”

Everyone who registers to host a Cook for Gaza Event will receive a digital fundraising guide, printable menus and place cards.  When participants raise their first €25, they’ll receive a recipe card created by Lilly Higgins and a flavourful za’atar spice mix provided by Nourish Health Food Store.

Those who raise more than €200 will receive a Concern apron as a thank you gift.

Over 350 people registered for last year’s event, with more than €160,000 raised. These funds all went to Concern’s work supporting the delivery of clean water for drinking and cooking to displaced communities in 10 locations in Khan Younis, Deir al Balah and Gaza City.

Our programmes also work to improve water and sanitation - building toilets, installing cisterns, conducting hygiene promotion sessions and distributing hygiene kits containing soap, water containers and sanitary pads.

In 2026 Concern also expanded their support to include cash transfers and psychological support services.
