Volunteer in Ireland

The work of volunteers is central to everything we do and allows us to continue our life-saving work in the world’s poorest countries. Learn about the various ways you can help as a volunteer in Ireland.

Project Us

Project Us is our movement for change in Ireland. It is a space for communities to gather together to discuss the global and local issues that matter to us. You can join the conversation by signing up to one of our events or joining our Facebook group.

We also run campaigns on a range of issues from climate change to gender equality and may be looking for people to sign a petition, send a tweet to their TD or share some of our good news stories on Facebook.

Debate adjudicators

The Concern Debates would not happen without our amazing team of volunteers across the country.

Among our family of volunteers are the adjudicators. There are three adjudicators at each debate, one chief and two assistants. They mark students according to the Concern Debates marking sheet.

Volunteer at collections

We require collectors to assist our street and church gate collections. The collections are held nationwide at different times throughout the year and usually involve just a few hours once or twice each year. If you think you have the time to spare, please register your interest for further information.

Fundraising volunteers

Interested in creating your own fundraiser? Every year hundreds of volunteers hold table quizzes, run marathons, climb mountains or host coffee mornings to fund our work overseas. The support is invaluable to us and we’re happy to support your fundraising efforts in whatever way we can.

Office volunteers

We have a number of volunteers in our head office who generously contribute their services. Most of the volunteers assist with light administrative duties in our Donor Care section but some come on board for limited time periods to work on special projects.

Get involved

If you are interested in helping in any of the above ways, please get in touch. We would be thrilled to have you on our team.
