Ways to fundraise for your school

There are many ways your school can get involved with Concern. Whether you are a student or a teacher, we have some lots of fundraising ideas to suit you.

Street collections

street collection Every year, Concern holds street collections nationwide. Lots of schools take part in these collections, but we are always on the look out for new recruits. For more details about how you can join in a collection in the Republic of Ireland click here or email collectionsirelandconcern.net.

Confirmation and Communion donations

The idea is simple. You can donate a little of the money you receive as gifts for your communion or confirmation, to help children living in poverty in the developing world. In return, Concern will provide you with a certificate, thanking you for thinking of others at this special time.

Recycle your mobiles and print cartridges

Help Concern and the environment at the same time! Concern runs a mobile phone recycling and print cartridge programme that you could set up in your school. Each phone and cartridge recycled results in a donation for Concern from an organisation called Recycling Appeal. For more details, contact i[email protected]

Dublin Bus refunds campaign

When you get a bus in Dublin you have to pay for your ticket with the exact amount. No change is given. Instead a refund is issued with your ticket if you are owed change. These refunds can now make a big difference to the people Concern helps.

If you are based in the Dublin area you could join our Dublin bus refunds campaign. Simply collect bus refund tickets and send them to us so we can claim money from Dublin Bus and use it to help those living in extreme poverty.

Please send your bus ticket refunds to:
