Donate in memory

Donate in memory

Why donate? Your donation in memory of a loved one will leave a lasting legacy in their name.

It could be shelter for a family uprooted by war, the food that will save the life of a malnourished child or the education that will change a future. By making a donation you can transform the lives of people who are suffering in poverty, conflict or disaster.

How can I donate in memory?

Making a donation in memoriam is easy. You can choose to set up a fundraising page in memory of someone special, or simply make a donation in their name. Your support will make sure that no one is left behind in the fight against extreme poverty.

Make a direct donation

You can make a donation directly to Concern's programmes in the name of your loved one through a number of channels - online, phone or post.

To donate by phone, call +353 (1) 417 7777.

To send a cheque or postal order, sent your donation to Concern Worldwide, 52-55 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2.

Set up a fundraiser

Setting up a fundraising event is a great way to raise money in memory of your loved one - and we're here to help, every step of the way.

Your support will make such a huge difference to the world's most disadvantaged communities.

Charity donations in lieu of flowers

People can also request donations to Concern in lieu of flowers at a funeral or memorial service. If this is something you are considering, you could include this wording in your loved one's death notice:

Donations in lieu of flowers to Concern Worldwide, 52-55 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2.

A lasting impact

You can also choose to establish a named tribute fund in memory of a loved one. This means that you will fund specific projects run by Concern in the areas of education, health, emergencies or livelihoods.

You can also choose to fund programmes in a particular country that we work in.

Establishing a tribute fund is a memorable way to celebrate the life of a loved one and to make a lasting difference to the lives of others. Once the fund is established, you can make donations to it at any time. That gives you the option of donating whenever suits you and of hosting fundraising events during the year.

Concern will of course provide fundraising guidance and support if requested.

If you would like to find out more about memoriam giving, with no obligation to start a fund, please contact inmemoryireland@concern.net.
