World Water Week
World Water Week is the annual focal point for global water issues, and runs until Friday 30 August.
The aim of the week is to achieve a "water wise world", and to engage with people about the dangers of poor sanitation, hygiene and dirty water.
Concern has a large Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) programme that is operational in 22 countries across a number of diverse contexts.
For the WASH sector, we aim to achieve significant and lasting improvements in the lives of the extreme poor through the establishment of a whole range of services including access to safe water, safe disposal of faeces, adoption of new hygiene behaviours and solid waste management, amongst others.
